ONCE UPON A TIME

Even if I could seem a granny I wanna talk about cartoons on air when I was a child. I started thinking on it last night while I was going back home after dining with my sister. She was singing Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” theme. She was Belle and I had to complete the song with the Beast parts (older sisters are always arrogant!). It has been shocking how, after so many years, we still remember the whole lyric, surely because we saw it thousand times. Once Disney used to produce not simply cartoons, but real pieces of art. Plots, sketches, dialogues and song were make to be forever and to remain in children’s heads at least for a year, when the new cartoon was out. However, they were so awesome that are in our heads for the whole life. Cartoons like “The Lion King”, “Aladdin”, “Hercules”, I saw them so many time to wear out the tape, and I was never bored to watch them. They were totally different one with the other to be unique was essential. I am not still talking how gorgeous were for us, little girls, the Princesses. Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora were our idol, always beautiful, kind and elegant. Their clothes were a dream (the name of my blog come from it) that all of us were looking for Carnival, and what about their amazing boyfriends? Always awesome and rich (that Princesses were not stupid at all!). Now that cartoons don’t exist anymore (here it is the granny!), there are just business production, made for earn as much possible and them be lost after few months. Love story now are amongst monsters, worriers or aliens. All the same and that magic has disappeared. That’s why I stopped and I thought how lucky I am, even if old, I’ve been a child when cartoons were the most beautiful, that will be with me for the rest of my life.

ITALY HAS CHANGED, BUT ROME IS ROME

Happened to you to have to deal with someone that you can’t really suffer? I’m sure yes. The true is that I think to be a person with a nice nature. Obviously, I have thousand weaknesses, like everyone, but the true is that I do not show them to people that are not really near me. In the case I see someone once a month surely I do not show off the worst part of me, but I try to keep the conversation as much friendly and pleasant possible. Unluckily I found out it’s not like that for anyone. There are people that, even if they rarely meet you, do their best for madding their presence every time more revolting. That people that always have a dig at you, that talk vaguely referring things from your life. I do not understand this kind of person. Even because I do not understand which kind of advantage they take contradicting you all the time resulting only annoying. I know a couple of people like that.  You’ll suggest me: stop meeting them. They are part, we can say, of some relation that in the life are not a choice. Are that in-law relatives that you have to see once a month. I am sure what I am talking about, and that many of you will agree with me. So girls, how can we survive from this rapports that are forced by life and we wanna avoid? We have just to be outclass, emotionless and have pity for that people which goal in life is to bother you. Furthermore, what these poor people do not understand it’s that when we feel good with ourselves and what we do, no provocation in the world would hurt us, and poor figure are for those that spend their lives trying to irritate the others. That’s why girls I advice you to never return whose provoke you, ignoring them it’s better. In fact, you should feel pleased by them, everyone knows, envy is a great kind of admiration.

In the pics I show you the first of two days spent in the amazing Rome for few meetings. I have no words to describe the gorgeous city, that it’s a real treasure full of art and history. In any corner there is a masterpiece, it’s really a place that left you astonished for the disarming beauty. And, as you have seen on my INSTAGRAM profile, the food is delicious. Me and Save spent two lovely days, I hope to go there again soon.

BLACK DRESS, SHINY SHOES AND HAT

I have to tell you a secret: I am Google addicted. The first step to healing has been done, admit that there is a problem. When I don’t know what to do (that even means when I have boring things to do and I wanna postpone them) I do the most absurd search on my fav search engine. Sometime I use it focused, like “how to have a beautiful skin”, “80′s style”, “how to get slim”, “how to make a face cleanser”, other times I google random words like “shorts”, “coat”, “tattoo”, the name of someone famous, and I start browsing pics. I even typed my name, and then I checked the photos that appeared. Google is really useful even for everyday small problems like “how to remove mold” or “how to clean a wine stain” or “how to write on pics with photoshop”. For me it’s something basic. Sometimes I just type a letter or a word and I check what it suggest me. Often I ask myself how people used to resolve all the problems that now we solve with just a click. And I haven’t talked about Google Maps yet, essential for my transfer and to know how far is Cadorna underground to Duomo one, how long it takes to go to Turin or simply if there is a tube near the hotel. You can’t even image how many infos about bags and shoes price and model I found for being well prepared before going in a shop and how many times I just discovered there that what I was craving was to expensive. When I was at school it was an infinite font of knowledge. Why should you need a teacher if there is Google? (obviously I’m kidding). Since Google is with us, everybody is a bit more a doctor (and hypochondriac), everyone google, at least once, symptoms and then confused a simply influence with a super rare disease and started the countdown for the end? Yes sometimes Google is a trouble, but if you use it in the proper way it’s a great virtual friend able to give you best advice.

COLORED COAT: SEASON MUST HAVE

Colored coat, both bright and pastel shades, are no doubt this autumn/winter trend, and I sincerely I found them awesome. They are able to make you shine, and independently of the rest of your outfit, you’ll look super fashion. There are anyway combinations that I love more and few secrets that will make you gorgeous with your new coat. Firstly you have to dose the colour: if you have a colored coat play with contrasts. In my case I wear a strong pink coat so I opted for a neutral colour outfit. A dark colour outfit would have been great too, with colours like black or dark blue, pastel colours are forbidden (it’s autumn by the way). Your choice: or a big contrast with two strong colours or white and grey shades, to give to your coat a leading role. Rule number two: if you have a coat like mine try to play it down. Particularly if it’s pink try to make it less sweet with rock/chic details, I opted for boots, bag and bracelets all studded. In the case you feel romantic you can wear it with colored flats. The contrast with high heels black booties or studded décolleté like Laboutin. The bag. I like playing with the shades: for example I wear a strong pink coat and I match it with a light pink bag, if your coat it’s dark blue a Tiffany colour bag it’s the perfect match, with a bright green a mint colour bag. Another choice it’s to match a strong colour with a strong colour and a light with a light one. For the make up warm colours are  the top for during all the autumn and will let your coat burst out all his colour and bright. Talking about hairstyle I hope you’ll be more lucky than me, that during raining days I can just wear a chignon to avoid the cat lady frizzy hair effect! Following just these few devices you’ll be wonderful and you’ll obtain a perfect runway look.
