LAVAZZA CALENDAR EXCLUSIVE PARTY
Thursday night I’ve been invited at a really extraordinary event: the presentation of Lavazza calendar 2014 “Inspiring Chef”.
For the 22nd edition of the calendar, that it’s a cult for the collectors, I think they reached the perfection. The famous photographer Martin Schoeller consecrated the relation between cooking and Lavazza coffee, for seven of the most awarded chef in the world: Carlo Cracco, Ferran & Albert Adria, Antonio Cannavacciuolo, Michel Bras, Massimo Bottura and Davide Oldani.
The night has been a sequence of emotions and tastes never seen before. You have just to imagine a dinner prepared for you by seven of the best chef in the world that offer you the dishes that made them famous, great final has been a special coffee, offered by mr Lavazza in person. I couldn’t believe that I was there.
Before every course a video in which the chef that made that dish (two main courses each) told us something private about his relation with his work was played on the walls, then tens of waiters came in walking on the runway before serving the food to all the guests, and we comfortably were waiting on chairs and sofas in that beautiful location that is the Pelota in Milan. Everything was, clearly, delicious and the set striking.
I even had the honor of meeting Carlo Cracco and talk with that great artists in the kitchen that I just saw on TV before, dreaming about their culinary delicacies. It’s a night that will be always in my mind, even more before, like the presenter Camilla Raznovich said at the beginning of the night, it’s “once in a lifetime” event, that never happened before and probably won’t in future. That’s why for me has been a immense honor and great chance to be there.
